Measurements stay on your Mac
WaveCheck reads the signal strength of nearby Wi‑Fi networks and Bluetooth devices to estimate your exposure. These readings, network names and device names are processed only on your Mac. They are never sent anywhere or stored beyond the 10‑minute history shown in the app.
Permissions
- Bluetooth: to receive signals from nearby Bluetooth devices. WaveCheck never connects to them.
- Location: macOS requires this before an app can see Wi‑Fi network names. WaveCheck never requests, reads or stores your location.
License activation
When you activate a license, WaveCheck sends your license key and your Mac's name to our payment provider, Polar, to confirm the purchase. About once a week it checks that the key is still valid. Nothing else is sent.
Purchases
Payments are handled by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record. They process your name, email and payment details under their own privacy policy. We receive your name, email and order details so we can provide support.
No tracking
WaveCheck and this website contain no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
